We were provided with and existing key visual that would appear on the back of pack and in-store print.
Working with the team at Creaytive, we decided on a relatively straight forward motion execution to bring the existing KV to life.
Although seemingly simple, it involed some complex particle systems to achieve the natural physics results; Velicity impact, splash and drip, that also needs to be sculpted perfectly. Not to mention steam rising from the cup. Things we take for granted in the real world, but require an expert team to deliver in CGI.

Therefore this takes some testing, and calculation time to get right:

After various tests and client input on camera angles and direction, we finalised the animation and prepared the scene for various format deliverables.

We are always considering the end goal at OPTIMIST, therefore we have processes in place to cater for all frame sizes and formats.
